Telling the story of Jesus in EVERY language
76 was a magic number for our global team last year.
Global Recordings Network recorded Bible stories in 76 languages for the first time in 2016—and also added to our archive by expanding the recordings available for another 76 languages.
Visitors to the Global Recordings Network International website listened to 193,234 hours of audio recordings in 2016. This marks a 25 percent increase from the previous year! Or for another comparison: consider that just 4,000 hours were downloaded from the site 12 years ago.
Seven years ago, a village of Meyor people in northern India had no church, no Bible, and no known believers.
Our local church partnered with Global Recordings Network to provide audio recordings of Bible stories for this small Buddhist group. Together, we were able to tell the story of Jesus in their language—and today 15 Meyor people are Christians.
