Around the world, billions of people do not have the Scriptures in a form they can access. Many are oral communicators who cannot rely on written text. Our calling is to ensure that every person can hear and understand God’s Word in their heart language—not just read it, but truly receive it.
While English speakers have hundreds of Bible translations, thousands of languages do not even have one. For millions, there is no Scripture they can open or read.
On top of this, many of these communities are oral learners or live in hard-to-reach places. For them, the only way the Gospel becomes real is when they hear it spoken in their own heart language.
A heart language is the language someone understands most deeply—the one that speaks to their mind and heart. It’s the language of family, community, and worship.
When the Gospel is shared in a heart language, it becomes clear and personal. People don’t just hear words—they understand the Good News. This is why GRN is committed to recording in every heart language, so all can hear of Christ’s love in the way that speaks most deeply to them.
Stories are easier to remember than facts or abstract truth. Because they’re memorable, they’re also more likely to be retold.
People enjoy a good story. Learning happens best when people enjoy it!
Stories connect with people. They ‘get you in.’ It’s harder to turn away from a story than an information text.
Stories spread naturally from person to person, carrying the Gospel into new hearts and homes.
Stories can teach or touch you without you even realizing it. They work beneath the surface.
Stories speak to children, adults, and elders alike. They cross generations as well as cultures.
