Marc – IT Director/US Studio Manager
Diane – Archival Librarian/Trainer
Marc is the manager of two departments, Studio and IT. As IT, Marc makes sure the network and computers are operational and have all the necessary software and updates the systems need to have. Marc maintains the Office 365 logins for the USA. Marc makes sure remote users have the computer applications they need to do their work, especially Macintosh users.
As studio manger Marc continues to remaster programs and working on Audio/Video projects that pertain to studio work. He makes sure recording techs have all the equipment they would need for field.
At the age of thirteen Marc began to follow Jesus. On May 30, 1970, his Boy Scout troop went to a big festival on a campground in Michigan. On Sunday, there were church services provided for all who wanted to attend. Marc did not know he would hear the gospel that Sunday, but when he did, he placed his faith in Jesus as his Savior. The verse that was used to explain the gospel was John 3:16. “For God so loved the world that He gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
Marc and Diane were married in 1982. Marc and his wife Diane joined Global Recordings Network in June 2017. They live in Tucson, AZ. They both bring a wealth of experience and expertise in the way they will serve to advance the work of telling the story of Jesus in every language.
Marc is a self-taught audio engineer. He has attended various audio engineering courses with Yamaha, Fostex, and Peavey Electronics. Marc started a sound company called Christian Sound Concepts and has provided sound systems for live music events as well as installed sound systems in churches and recording studios. Marc has also done remote multi-track recordings of live performances and has engineered at several recording projects at local recording studios.
Marc has worked in IT for a total of twenty-five years. He worked in the prosecutor’s office in the courthouse of the city of Columbus, Ohio. He worked for Upper Arlington Schools, set up and installed Macintosh X-servers, and designed server rooms for ten buildings. He designed their local and metropolitan websites, designed and maintained computer images for both Windows and Macintosh computers, and helped support the 1200 computers that were used throughout the school district.
Diane has found her niche in serving Global Recordings Network in working with the USA archival library and creating online instructional programs for use in training in various area of GRN. Her degree in library media gives her the framework for working with the tape library and organizing the online archives. Using existing course content, Diane designs online curriculum to work in a variety of cultures to assist with training.
When Diane was in middle school, her mother took her to church, but did not stay. Diane became involved in the choir and enjoyed learning the Bible lessons. However, it was not until she was a junior in college and began to attend church services with friends that she realized she could not answer the Sunday School teacher’s questions: “Can you remember the time that you accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior? If you were to go to Heaven right now and God were to ask you what right do you have to come into My Heaven, what would you tell Him?” That Sunday morning, Diane accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior.
Diane has a Master’s degree in Instruction Design and Technology with a Library Media certification from The Ohio State University. She has been a librarian in three different school districts and designed and taught online curriculum. Her instructional design degree and teaching experience will allow her to develop meaningful content. She was a reviewer for School Library Connection and has published articles in the Ohio Media Spectrum.
