How David & Gale serve with Global Recordings Network
David and Gail Rogne are currently serving as recordists in Vanuatu, in the South Pacific. The Pacific Island Nations are made up of over eighty islands, about two thousand miles east of Australia. The Rognes are recording the story of Jesus for Global Recordings Network through the Australia Centre.
On Faith, Family, & Background
David gave himself to the Lord at eleven when at a time of despair a verse he had learned came vividly to mind: “You are MY workmanship created in Christ Jesus for good works, which I prepared beforehand that you should walk in them (Ephesians 2:10).” Gail gave her life to Christ at seventeen. They met through work with New Tribes Mission (now Ethnos 360).
David and Gail heard about Global Recordings while hiking with national pastors and others while working in Papua New Guinea. There were many groups who had the Bible translated into their language, but when asked if they read it, the people said they did not. They didn’t read it because they were oral communicators.
The focus of Global Recordings on recording the Gospel for oral learners was exciting to the Rognes who have been missionaries with Global Recordings since 2013. The Rognes have two adult sons.
